Lo Pan TempleDescriptionLo Pan is the Patron Saint of Chinese Builders and Contractors. His real name was Kungshu Pan and was believed to be born in 507 B.C. in the state of Lo (ancient Shandong Province). His festival falls on the 13th of the sixth month of the Lunar calendar. This is the only temple in Hong Kong erected to him in 1884 by the Contractor's Guild with donations from many people connected with the trade.
The temple is a two-hall structure, with elaborate "fire" type parapet walls, sculptural figures, relieves and paintings. The land ownership changed several times and in 1921 was acquired by the temple management company Kwong Yuet Tong. A school was established in 1949-50 next door.
