Format : At the Official Draw for the Cathay Pacific/Credit Suisse Hong Kong Sevens 2008, the 24 participating teams will be drawn into six pools of four teams each.
Day 1 (12 games) : Each team plays one game in their pool.
Day 2 (24 games) : Each team plays another two games to complete the round-robin pool competition. The group winners and the two second placed teams with the best records, progress to the Cup Competition. The four remaining second placed teams and the four, third-placed teams with the best records progress to the Plate Competition. The remaining eight teams progress to the Bowl Competition.
Day 3 (21 games) : Quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals of each of the Bowl, Plate and Cup competitions.
Match Duration : Seven minutes each way with two-minute intervals for pool, knock-out matches. Bowl and Plate finals and sevens minutes each way with two-minute intervals; 10 minutes each way for the Cup final.


Transport Arrangements
A. Public Transport Service to Hong Kong Stadium (Figure 1)
1. Free shuttle bus service
Free shuttle bus service (Admiralty to Hong Kong Stadium) will be operated from Drake Street eastbound near Admiralty Station Exit A.

2. Bus service
Event goers from Central and Wan Chai may take Citybus Route 5B (Fare: HK$3.40), which runs between Kennedy Town and Causeway Bay, along Des Voeux Road Central and Hennessy Road.

3. MTR service
Event goers from other areas may travel to Causeway Bay by MTR, getting out at Exit F to Jardine's Crescent or Exit A to Russell Street, and take a 15 minute walk to the venue.

B. Public Transport Service from Hong Kong Stadium (Figure 2)
1. Free shuttle bus service
Free shuttle bus service (Hong Kong Stadium to Admiralty via Lan Kwai Fong) will be operated from Cotton Path outside St.Pau1 ' s Hospital.

2. Additional bus service
Cross Harbour Tunnel Recreation Route 117R (Hong Kong Stadium to Mongkok) (Fare: HK$12.80) will be operated from Cotton Path outside St. Paul ' s Hospital.

3. MTR and other public transport
Passengers heading for other areas may take 15-minute walk to Jadine ' s Crescent or Russell Street for the MTR or to Yee Wo Street / Hennessy Road for other public transport services.
